How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Replacing the ink cartridge in your HP Photosmart Premium C310A printer is a piece of cake. Let the following steps guide you:
- Turn on your printer, then lift the top cover. The carriage containing the ink cartridges should slide to the center. Wait until it's idle.
- Find the cartridge you want to replace and press the tab on its front to release it. Lift the cartridge out to remove it from the slot.
- Take the new ink cartridge out of its package. Pull the plastic tab to remove the plastic wrap.
- Twist the cap on the bottom of the cartridge counter-clockwise to remove it. Be careful not to touch the copper contacts and ink port.
- Insert the ink cartridge directly into the appropriate slot by holding it by its sides. Match its color with the color-coded icon on the carriage. Push the cartridge into the slot until it's firmly in place.
- Close the top cover.
