How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Replace the toner cartridge on the Okidata MC561 with this basic step-by-step guide:

  1. Before you open the top cover, lift the scanner unit until it is fully opened.
  2. Push the blue locking sleeve on the used toner cartridge to the right. Afterwards, remove the cartridge from your Okidata printer.
  3. Open the wrapper for the replacement cartridge. Then, take out the cartridge.
  4. Make sure to distribute its toner. To do this, shake the cartridge several times.
  5. Install the toner cartridge into the image drum unit. Once you hear an audible click, proceed to the next step.
  6. Slide the blue locking sleeve to the left before you start cleaning the four LED heads.
  7. Close the top cover and you're finished!
