How to Replace Cartridge(s)
By following the basic steps below, you will be able to replace the ink cartridge on the Brother MFC-490CW:
- Open the ink cartridge cover of your MFC-490CW.
- Unlock the empty ink cartridge by pressing down on it. Afterwards, remove it from its slot.
- Pull the new ink cartridge out of its protective box.
- Don't forget to release the vacuum seal by rotating the green knob on the yellow protective cap clockwise.
- Install the ink cartridge into its corresponding slot.
