- Check that your printer is on, then open its top cover until it locks in place.
- Wait for the device to cool down, then pull out the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly.
- Push down the lock lever then remove the used toner cartridge from the drum unit.
- Take out the new toner cartridge from its box and packaging. Use both hands to keep the new cartridge level, then rock it gently from side to side several times to spread the toner evenly.
- Remove the cartridge's protective cover. Insert the new cartridge into the drum unit securely. Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit.

- Close the top cover.
