How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Replace the ink cartridge on the Brother MFC-J485DW with the simple guide below:
- Start by opening the ink cartridge cover of your Brother machine.
- You must press the empty cartridge down to release it from the holder, and then remove the empty ink cartridge from its slot.
- Take the replacement ink cartridge out of its protective bag.
- To release the vacuum seal, rotate the green release lever on the orange protective packing clockwise until it is completely removed.
- Install the ink cartridge into its slot, and then press the “PUSH” mark on the cartridge to secure it.
- Verify if the ink cartridge is properly inserted before you close the ink cartridge cover.
- Wait until the printer finishes resetting the ink dot counter.
