How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Instructions for installing a compatible Brother MFC-L2740DW toner cartridge:
- Turn your printer on and open its front cover.
- Pull the drum unit assembly out of the printer.
- To remove the old cartridge, locate the small green tab on the front left side of the drum unit. Press down on that tab to unlock the toner inside, and then remove that toner from the drum unit.
- Take the new toner cartridge out of its wrapper.
- Slide the new toner inside the drum unit until you hear it lock in place.
- To clean the corona wire, slide the green tab from left to right and vice versa several times.
- Return the drum unit assembly with the new toner back to the printer.
- Close your printer’s front cover.
