Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I keep the platen glass cover closed when copying with the Canon ImageClass D340?

If you produce copies with the platen glass cover left open, the ImageClass D340 will consume more toner than when it is closed.

If no message appeared on the display, how will I know if it's time to get a new toner cartridge?

One sign that indicates it's time to get a replacement toner cartridge is when white streaks or light bands start to appear on the copies.

I don't have a replacement cartridge on hand. Is it possible to continue copying even if the cartridge is running low on toner?

Yes. Simply remove the toner cartridge and rock it a few times to re-distribute the remaining toner inside. This will allow you to copy a few more pages, however, you must get a new one soon.
