How to Replace Cartridge(s)

To replace toner cartridges on the Canon LBP-5050, simply follow these steps:

  1. Gently open the front cover.
  2. Remove the toner cartridge tray.
  3. Hold the old toner cartridge by its handle and pull it straight up and out of the printer.
  4. Remove the new toner cartridge from its packaging.
  5. Gently shake the new toner cartridge five or six times.
  6. Place the new toner cartridge on a flat surface.
  7. Remove the sealing tape on the new toner cartridge by pulling it straight out in the direction of the arrow.
  8. Remove the protective drum cover.
  9. Insert the new toner cartridge into the toner cartridge tray.
  10. Close the toner cartridge tray.
  11. Gently close the front cover.
