How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Here are the steps to replacing the ink cartridge on the Canon PIXMA IP4700:
- Make sure that the PIXMA IP4700 is on, and then open the paper output tray gently.
- Open the top cover. Then, wait for the printhead holder to move to the replacement position.
- Push the tab to remove the empty ink cartridge from the printer.
- Take the new ink cartridge out of the package, and then remove the orange tape and the orange protective cap.
- Insert the new cartridge into the correct slot.
- Close the top cover.
