How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Follow these basic steps if you need to replace the ink cartridge on the Canon PIXMA MG2420:
- Turn on your Canon PIXMA MG2420.
- Slide out the paper output tray followed by the output tray extension.
- Open the cover. The ink cartridge holder will move to its replacement position.
- When the cartridge holder is idle and silent, take the empty ink cartridge out of its slot.
- Unpack the new ink cartridge. Don't forget to peel off its protective tape.
- Put the new cartridge at a slant into the empty slot. Secure it by pushing down on it until a click is heard.
- Close the cover and adjust the printhead position.
