How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Installing your new remanufactured Canon PIXMA MG3522 ink cartridge is fast and easy. Here are the steps:
- Make sure that your MG3522 is on.
- Lower its front cover and paper output tray and cover. Then, wait for the head cover to open.
- To release the empty cartridge from the slot, firmly push down the lock lever of the cartridge until you hear it click. Then, pull the cartridge out of its slot.
- Remove the replacement cartridge from the package and remove the tape underneath it.
- Install the new cartridge by sliding it into the slot. Then, lift the lock lever and raise the paper output cover.
- Close the front cover.

Do I have to replace the Canon PIXMA MG3522 ink cartridge if there are horizontal lines on the printed pages?
Not necessarily. You may get rid of the horizontal lines on the printouts by simply cleaning the printhead.
Color is faded and uneven on the printouts. What could be the problem?
If there is uneven color or faded color, it means ink is not ejected properly from the cartridge. Check if the nozzles are clogged and clean the printhead if that is the case.
