Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my Canon PIXMA MG5550 not printing in black even I just installed a new black ink cartridge?

If your Canon PIXMA MG5550 is not printing in black even with a new black ink cartridge installed, it could be that the orange plastic tape still remains on the cartridge, which prevents the ink flow. Try removing the black cartridge first and remove the orange plastic tape if necessary before reinstalling.
