This easy step-by-step guide will help you to replace the ink cartridges on the Canon PIXMA MX300:

  1. Plug your Canon MX300 printer to a power supply. Press down the power button to turn on.
  2. Carefully open the scanner unit/printer cover of Canon PIXMA MX300 printer.
  3. Use the scanning unit support to keep it open.
  4. Push down the empty cartridges semi-circular tab to release from its position.
  5. Prepare the replacement for installation - take it out of the packaging and remove its protective tape.
  6. Insert the replacement to the vacated slot. Push upwards to keep it in place.
  7. If you need to replace the other cartridge as well, simply follow steps 4 to 6.
  8. Close the scanner unit.
