How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Follow this step-by-step guide to replacing the ink cartridge on the Canon PIXMA MX712:
- Make sure that the PIXMA MX712 is on, and then open the paper output tray gently.
- Lift the scanning unit and hold it open with the scanning unit support. Then, wait for the printhead holder to move to the replacement position.
- Push the tab to release the empty ink cartridge, and then remove it from the printer.
- Take the new ink cartridge out of the package, and then remove the orange tape and the protective film completely.
- Remove the orange protective cap from the new cartridge, and then install the cartridge into the slot.
- Close the scanning unit.
