- Open the printer cover. Remove the used ink ribbon cartridge by grasping its tab on the left side and lifting the left side out first.
- Take the new ink ribbon cartridge from its protective bag. Turn the ribbon-tightening knob clockwise to take up any slack in the ribbon.
- Fit the ribbon between the ribbon mask and head unit, then push the ink ribbon cartridge firmly into position.
- Turn the ribbon-tightening knob clockwise up to six times. This feeds the ribbon smoothly into place between the ribbon mask and head unit. Check that the ribbon is not creased or twisted in any way.
- Close the printer cover.
