How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Having print errors with your receipts? It might be time to replace your existing ribbon cartridge. Here's how to install a new one in your Epson TM-300B printer:
- Open the printer cover. Take out the used ink ribbon cartridge by grasping its tab on the left side and lifting its left side out first.
- Remove the new ink ribbon cartridge from its packaging. Turn the ribbon-tightening knob clockwise in the cartridge to take up any slack in the ribbon.
- Fit the ribbon properly between the ribbon mask and head unit, then firmly push the ink ribbon cartridge into position.
- Turn the ribbon-tightening knob clockwise up to six times. This feeds the ribbon smoothly into place between the ribbon mask and head unit. Make sure the ribbon is not creased or twisted in any way.
- Close the printer cover.
