How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Here is a basic guide to help you replace the toner cartridge on the HP Laserjet Pro MFP M29W:

  1. Open the toner cartridge door of your Laserjet Pro MFP M29W.
  2. Hold the old toner cartridge and pull it out of the printer.
  3. Remove the new toner cartridge from the box and from its protective packaging.
  4. Hold the new cartridge and shake it to distribute the toner that might have lodged inside.
  5. There's a tab on the left side of the cartridge. Bend and pull the tab until the entire length of the sealing tape is removed.
  6. Aside from the sealing tape, the orange cover must also be removed before installation.
  7. Align the new cartridge with the tracks inside the printer, insert it, and push it down until it locks into place.
  8. Close the toner cartridge door.
