How to Replace Cartridge(s)
These are the steps to replacing the Brother MFC-6490CW ink cartridge:
- When replacing an ink cartridge, you should have your Brother printer turned on. If it isn't, proceed to turning it on.
- Then, lower your Brother MFC 6490CW printer's ink cartridge cover.
- Select the empty cartridge and press down its release lever.
- You can now take out the old cartridge.
- Remove the packaging and protective cap of your new replacement cartridge.
- Gently push the new cartridge to the empty slot.
- You can repeat steps 3 to 5 when you need to take out other cartridges as well.
- Then, close the cartridge cover.
