How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Here's how to replace the ink cartridge on the Brother MFC-6890CDW:
- Open the ink cartridge cover.
- Press down to unlock the release lever of the empty ink cartridge and remove it from the MFC-6890CDW.
- Open the new ink cartridge bag and remove the new ink cartridge.
- Turn the green knob on the yellow protective cap clockwise until it clicks, and then remove the protective cap from the cartridge.
- Insert the new ink cartridge in the direction of the arrow on the label, and press down on it until it clicks into place.
- Close the ink cartridge cover. Wait until the printer resets the ink level.
