Here's the fast and easy way to replace the toner cartridge of your Canon ImageCLASS D383:

  1. Open the right cover, then remove the used toner cartridge from the machine. Just grab its handle and pull it out.
  2. Take out the new toner cartridge from its packaging, then rock it gently from side to side to distribute the toner inside more evenly.
  3. Place the cartridge on a flat, even surface. Grip the sealing tape tab and pull it off completely.
  4. Hold the toner cartridge with one hand, align it properly, and then slide it carefully into the printer until the right cover slightly rises up.
