Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to replace the toner cartridge on the HP Color LaserJet PRO MFP M476DW immediately after the 'Cartridge is Low' error message appears on the display?

No. A 'Cartridge is Low' error message simply indicates that the toner cartridge is running low on toner, but you may still continue printing a few more pages until the print quality deteriorates. What you can do now is order a replacement toner cartridge so you have one ready for use when the old cartridge gets totally depleted.

Why should I avoid touching the imaging drum on the bottom of the new cartridge during installation?

You should not touch the imaging drum on the bottom of the new cartridge because fingerprints on the imaging drum may cause print-quality issues.

What is the difference between the Compatible HP 312X and the Compatible HP 312A Black Ink Cartridge?

The Compatible HP 312X is the high-yield version while the Compatible HP 312A is the standard cartridge. The former contains more toner, so it prints more pages than the standard HP 312A.
