Here's how to replace the ink cartridge on the HP Deskjet 1011:
- Make sure that the HP Deskjet 1011 is on, and then load it with plain, white paper.
- Open the cartridge access door. The ink cartridge carrier will then move to the center of the machine.
- Press down to release the used ink cartridge, and then lift it out of the machine.
