How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Here are the steps to replacing the ink cartridge on the HP DeskJet 2600:

Make sure to load plain, white paper into the input tray before you proceed.
Once paper is loaded, lower the output tray and slide out the tray extender.
Lower the ink cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to move to the center.
Gently push down on the used ink cartridge to release it from its slot.
Unpack the new ink cartridge and remove the pink plastic tape before you install it.
Insert the ink cartridge firmly into its corresponding slot until it snaps into place.
Close the ink cartridge access door.
