How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Follow these simple steps in replacing the ink cartridge on the HP DeskJet 2622:

  1. Make sure that the HP DeskJet 2622 is on.
  2. Lift up the input tray and position the paper width guide to the left.
  3. Load plain, unused, white paper into the input tray.
  4. Lower the ink cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to move to the center.
  5. Gently push down on the used ink cartridge to release it from its slot.
  6. Unpack the new ink cartridge.
  7. Remove the pink plastic tape from the cartridge.
  8. Insert the ink cartridge firmly into its corresponding slot until it snaps into place.
  9. Close the ink cartridge access door.
