How to Replace Cartridge(s)
By following these steps, you will be able to replace the ink cartridge on the HP OfficeJet 5255:
- Ensure that your HP OfficeJet 5255 is turned on.
- Load plain, white paper into the input tray.
- Lightly hold the handles on both sides of the printer.
- Lift up the ink cartridge access door until it locks into position.
- Raise the lid on the ink cartridge slot, and then remove the used ink cartridge.
- Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging and pull the pink plastic tape out.
- Install the ink cartridge with the nozzles facing toward the printer.
- Close the lid firmly until it is completely secured.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
