Frequently Asked Questions

Can I interchange the positions of the ink cartridges when installing them into the HP Photosmart 2610V?

No. During installation, you must ensure that the tri-color ink cartridge goes to the slot on the left while the black, photo, or gray photo cartridge goes to the slot on the right.

I'm removing the black ink cartridge to install the photo ink cartridge. How do I store the black ink cartridge so I can still use it later?

If you are removing the black ink cartridge to install the photo ink cartridge, you must store the black ink cartridge in the print cartridge protector to preserve its condition.

Why should I take extra care not to touch the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles when installing the new ink cartridge?

When installing the new ink cartridge, you must not touch the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles because touching these parts may lead to ink failure, clogs, or bad electrical connections.
