How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Here are 8 steps to easily replace the old ink cartridge on the Brother MFC-J650DW:
- Open the ink cartridge cover.
- Push down the release lock cover to remove the cartridge that needs replacement.
- Take the new ink cartridge out of the bag.
- Rotate the green release lock lever on the orange protective packing counterclockwise. Continue doing this until it clicks to release the vacuum seal.
- Remove the orange protective packing.
- Insert the new ink cartridge in the slot that matches its color.
- Lightly press the back of the ink cartridge which has a "PUSH" mark until it latches into position.
- Close the ink cartridge cover.
