How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Replacing the ink cartridge on the Lexmark Z815 is simple. Here's how:

  1. Make sure that your machine is powered on. If it isn't, press the Power button.
  2. Open the access door. The cartridge holder will automatically move and stop at the printer's center.
  3. After you've ensured that the holder is idle and silent, open the cartridge lid.
  4. Remove the used ink cartridge from the Z815.
  5. Follow your local regulations in discarding or recycling the old cartridge.
  6. Unwrap the new cartridge. Don't forget to remove the sticker and tape.
  7. Slide the ink cartridge into the holder until it touches the back of the Lexmark unit.
  8. Lower the cartridge holder lid followed by the access door.
  9. Print an alignment page and you're done!
